Media Standards Trust

Tell us your idea

The Media Standards Trust doesn't just want to talk about news standards – we want to take action. We intend to pilot projects – on and off-line - which address the major challenges facing the news. For example, how can we:

  • Provide people with the tools necessary to be able to test the trustworthiness of news and information online?
  • Promote and nurture public interest journalism?
  • Make news organisations more accountable?
  • Give people adequate means of redress?

We have so far come up with four ideas – described below – on all of which we welcome your comments. If you have any ideas about how we can deal with these – or other – challenges, please send us a proposal.
